“Holiness comes wrapped in the ordinary. There are burning bushes all around you.
Every tree is full of angels. Hidden beauty is waiting in every crumb.”
The 24 Hour Advent Retreat of Silence is upon us again… a sacred space for transformation at the end of 2017 and the beginning of Advent. Come see what “hidden beauty” God might have for you to unwrap. It will be held Sunday, December 3rd to Monday, December 4th at Bishop Lane Retreat Center in Rockford. You may arrive and get settled anytime after 2 pm on Sunday, although the retreat officially begins with dinner at 6 pm. We will conclude at 3 pm on Monday.
If this retreat is new to you, here is what you need to know… It is simple. It is uncomplicated. It’s for women only and we have the whole retreat center to ourselves. There is no pressure to perform or prove yourself or impress others. It is an invitation to show up and open up your heart to the voice of God.
You will have the opportunity to take advantage of various stations, including meditating on art, reading, worship dance, meditative yoga, life mapping, listening prayer, and more. Or you can choose to rest and retreat in your room and simply be present with God. That’s the beauty of this time – you are free to make it what you want.
The retreat price* includes the overnight, 3 meals & materials:
o Regular rate of $160 (after October 20, 2017)
o Early-bird rate of $145 (on or before October 20, 2017)
o New friend rate of $135 (both you and your new friend enjoy this rate!)
o Shared Room Rate of $110 (rate is for each person)

* In case you’re noticing a rate increase, room prices at Bishop Lane have increased significantly as well as a new room tax and food tax. We’ve tried to keep the prices in line with prior years and only add these additional costs.
We are grateful to be leading this retreat this year. As most of you know, Tiffany Staman after many years of leading this retreat has stepped down. We are honored and humbled to continue a strong legacy of incredible leadership.
Finally we are grateful to the women who carve out time at the start of the busiest season each year to join the silence in the midst of community. It is a highlight of our Advent Season, and we are humbled to share it with you.
